He holds a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Panamericana, an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and an IPADE degree. With over 36 years of experience as both a technician and director in the plastic injection industry, he has authored five books on plastic injection and published more than 25 articles in specialized journals. As a researcher, writer, and consultant, he developed the ACG method for plastic injection.

She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master's in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. In 2010, she earned her PhD in Polymer Processing at the IKV, Institute for Plastics Processing, RWTH Aachen, Germany. She then worked as an application engineer for SIGMASOFT injection molding simulation software in Germany. Since 2013, she has been a founding partner of PM Tec Engineering, based in Bogotá, where she advises on plastic product development, transformation processes, and circular economy projects. Laura is also the founder of CEI (Centro de Excelencia en Inyección), an educational entity offering customized training for plastics processing companies, and C-Pack, a sustainable packaging laboratory. She has been associated with the publication Tecnología del Plástico for 20 years, currently serving as its content director. Since March 2023, she has held the position of General Director at ICIPC (Instituto de Capacitación e Investigación del Plástico y el Caucho).

She has directed the company Contenedores y Rotomoldeo S.A. de C.V. since 2006; she holds an Honorary Doctorate from the International University of Development and Leadership, for her philanthropic work in the areas of health, school, social and sports. She currently chairs the National Association of Plastics Industries (ANIPAC), being the first woman in the history of the association to hold this honorary position. In her professional career she has held various honorary positions such as ‘President of the Mexican Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Metropolitan Chapter of the State of Mexico’, President of the Rotomoulding Section of ANIPAC, Vice-President of the Transformers Section of ANIPAC, among others.
Andrea Guevara Morales

She holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México, and completed her MSc and PhD studies at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London. Her research focused on epoxy-based nanocomposite polymers and nanoclays for electrical applications, as well as the study of rapid fracture in multilayer polymers, primarily polyethylene pipes coated with polypropylene. Both projects were industry-supported, with funding from Areva R&D, Alstom, and Radius Systems Ltd. Upon returning to Mexico in 2012, she co-founded the Plastics Technology research group at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México, alongside Dr. Ulises Figueroa López. Dr. Guevara is currently a professor-researcher at the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey and is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level 1. She collaborates with various national and international research groups. Her work includes contributing to technological development and consultancy projects for companies seeking to replace traditional materials with engineering plastics, as well as projects that have led to the creation of engineering and design centers within industry.

He studies Chemistry at UNAM. From 1992 to 1996 he began working at the CID (Center for Research and Technological Development of the Industria Resistol Group). In 1999 he obtained his master’s degree in Polymer Physical Chemical at the Faculty of Chemistry-UNAM. In 2003 he achieves Doctor’s degree at Louis Pasteur University, Strasbourg, France, working on the synthesis and development of an application for Semiconductor Polymers. From 2004 to 2008 he did some research stays at the Institute of Chemistry (IQ-UNAM), the Institute of Nuclear Sciences (ICN-UNAM) and the Institute of Materials Research (IIM-UNAM). At the end of 2008 he re-entered the CID (Kuo Group Technological Research and Development Center), where he continued his research on issues related to plastics and polymers. In 2012, he joined CIATEQ at the unit located in Lerma State of Mexico known as the Plastic Engineering and Technology Center, its activities are mainly focused on the achievement and execution of technological development projects and “root cause” analysis services for plastic sector industries.

She is an Industrial Chemical Engineer, graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in International Trade at Anahuac University. With 13 years of experience in standardization processes within the plastics industry across various sectors (raw materials, recyclers, and transformation industry), she also has expertise in certification processes and testing laboratories. In her current role as Technical Manager at the Asociación Nacional de Industrias del Plástico (ANIPAC), she is responsible for overseeing the technical area, focusing on sustainability and engaging in lobbying activities with both state and federal government sectors on legislative initiatives impacting the plastics industry.

He holds a degree in Administration, a master’s degree in Strategic Administration, and a master's degree in Management of Business Organizations from the Business School in San José, Costa Rica, organized by OIE and ILO. With more than 15 years of professional experience in planning, development, management, and consolidation of business organizations, he has expertise in event logistics, government relations, project monitoring, negotiation, budget management, and human resources management. Raúl has also served as the Coordinator of Advisors at the Ministry of Agrarian Reform (Secretaría de la Reforma Agraria) in the Federal Government, working alongside Agronomist Abelardo Escobar Prieto. He has been the Federal Delegate in Michoacán for the Ministry of Agrarian Reform and served as CEO of Coparmex Michoacán. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CONCAMIN.

Doctoral and Postdoctoral stay at the University of Bayreuth, Germany from 2002 to 2005. He worked at the Electrical Research Institute from 2005 to 2013 as a researcher in the development and characterization of polymeric materials for the power electrical industry, where he developed and implemented new characterization procedures for dielectric role and residual life diagnosis of power transformers and reactors. Since 2013 he has worked for the Center for Research in Applied Chemistry as Associate Researcher where he was Laboratory Coordinator and project leader for PEMEX Petroquímica and Pemex Etileno. She is a research professor in the Department of Energy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Azcapotzalco, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on waste management issues. She has been Coordinator of Teaching and of the Institutional Plan towards sustainability at UAM-Azcapotzalco, president of the Review Commission of the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering, member of the Editorial Board of the same Division and of the UAM-Sustainable Commission; she is currently a member of the Committee of the Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering and of the Advisory Committee of the Research Support Directorate of the UAM. She has been awarded a desirable profile by the PRODEP and is a member of the National System of Researchers, level I. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the United Nations Organization for marine waste and microplastics and of the Subcommittee of Environmental Aspects of the Technical Committee of National Standardization for the Plastics Industry.
